Up For Grabs is LIVE
Our latest feature release includes a new feature called Up For Grabs. It’s an exciting new way for suppliers to distribute leads. Here’s how it works.
When a supplier puts a lead Up For Grabs, an email notification goes out to distributors letting them know that there is a new lead available. Distributors may log in and view limited information about the lead (e.g. Company Name, Location, etc). The first distributor to claim the lead gets it and it shows up in their account under the Leads section. At the same time the supplier is notified regarding which distributor claimed the lead and then they can work the lead together from there.
To keep it fair and prevent Up For Grabs leads from being claimed by the same distributors all the time, we’ve instituted a credits system. With each Up For Grab lead that the distributor claims, deducts one credit from their account. Once their credits reach zero, they can not claim any more leads. We’ve deposited a small number of credits in each account to get everyone started. Credits may be earned in various ways and we’ll be posting more about that shortly. Invite your supplier / distributor partners into PromoLeads.
UPDATE: There’s been a lot of confusion about where these Up for Grabs leads can be found (sorry about that!) As you can see in this little screenshot below, the place to find Up for Grabs leads and information is under you Leads tab. The actual information here may change as we make improvements, but this is the place to look.

I never see the leads…I guess by the time I get the email they are gone.

Have you received an e-mail indicating there is a lead up for grabs available?
This just went live today so that may be why you haven’t received one.

I have been sent 2 email alerts that indicate that a lead is up for grabs. Each time I look under Leads and it simply says “No Leads assigned to you yet”.
I can’t find an alternate place to look for the “Up For Grabs Leads” Except for the screen grab that says Lead #12139 Wheaton College.
Please respond indicating how this system works.

Hello Sharon, Ryan, and Steven! Thanks for commenting here, and sorry for the confusion. We’ve heard from many users that our new Up for Grabs feature is a little frustrating and confusing, and I apologize for that!
The biggest problem is that we haven’t been clear about a few things:
1) A lead in PromoLeads can only be assigned to one distributor
2) An Up for Grabs lead is first come, first served, so if you receive an email about a lead up for grabs, and another distributor claims it first, then that lead is no longer Up for Grabs/available
3) We should be showing you some sort of notification about what happened to the leads you are notified about. We’re failing at that right now, but we’re working on making that better right now.

Where do we look when there is a lead up fro grabs?
I just got 2 more notices and haven’t seen anything.

What is the Lead ID to search for too? There is no Lead ID in the email notices I receive.

Also, do I have to invite a supplier in order to get a lead? This seems so silly that I get an email lead and as soon as I log it, it has gone to someone else.

Hi Jamie – No you do not need to invite suppliers to receive leads. As noted above we’re working on the notification system to show you when a lead has been claime so that you’re not left wondering what happened.. Since this is so new – it seems to be getting a lot of activity (e.g. people claiming leads very quickly). As more suppliers come on stream and there are more leads – there will be more opportunity to claim Up For Grabs leads or to have leads assigned directly to you.

I think the Up For Grabs is working fine.
You have to work really fast to get one I see. If you are on line you have about a minute or so to grab it.
Kinda like bidding on ebay during the last few minutes of the auction item.
Gotta have fast keys.

I have been on when it says a new lead came in, and it didn’t indicate that the lead was taken yet, but I am still yet to see one of these supposed leads. Do they really exist?
